This is an interesting gadget. A Wi-Fi detector built-in on a watch, an interesting idea. This will not go well with most people but for a geek, this is just another gadget to show off. The cost of the Wi-Fi detecting watch is very cheap. You can buy the Wi-Fi detecting watch at thinkgeek for $30. At the puch of a button, you can the signal strength of a Wi-Fi network anywhere. The signal strength of a Wi-Fi network will be shown in numbers (0-8).

Aside from the Wi-Fi detecting function, this gadget also functions as a regular watch. The watch itself looks simple but it still looks fashionable. The design of this watch is cool, well it is specially geared towards guys. The watch function has:

• Alarm (daily and single)
• Countdown timer
• EL backlight
• World time zone mode
• Calendar (month, day, year)

Nothing fancy when it comes to watch functions but the Wi-Fi detecting function is pretty cool. There is also a Wi-Fi detecting T-Shirt available and I already wrote a post on it.

Swatch is one of the best known companies for producing quality wrist watches. Even James Bond would be proud of some of the designs and uses that swatch has integrated into their watch. Swatch have designs that will satisfied the hunger of both young and old. Most of the swatch brand’s wrist watches can be worn on any occasion. Swatch is a swiss company and they are renowned for making quality watches and lots of other delicate products. Just about a year ago, swatch releases a concept watch called swatch infinity. The Swatch Infinity has to be one of the coolest watch I have seen, the design is slick and very ultra modern. This watch has a lot more very useful functions including a clock. Swatch Infinity also acts as a media player and recorder plus a photo viewer which would be a cool function for technology junkies. This watch includes

• A digital clock
• MP3 Player
• Video player/recorder
• Picture viewer

You can take out a section of this watch ( as shown in the picture above) to sync and recharge it. A leather-effect strap with magnetic clasp makes the design even more slick. There is another cool and risky watch by swatch called the Swatch Air Tube Watch by Laurence Dawes which is a simple yet creative design. This one only works as a watch though.
