epson-stylus-multifunction-photo-printerInkjet technology has not that long left before it gets obsolete. Inkjet printers has been on the computer market for a long time now and new technology is bound to replace it in due time. There has been some development in the Solid Ink technology which uses a lot less of ink cartridges than the regular Inkjet printers as the ink is in a solid form and ink wastage is cut down a lot, compared to inkjet. It costs a lot of money to replace printer ink and you need to buy new ink cartridges often if you use your printer to print out color pictures. A cheaper option would be to use a third party ink but the quality of the ink may differ to the one the original manufacturer provided, which might damage your printer and the ink head.

Another bad thing about Inkjet inks is the color is based on water so the print colors will fade in due time. Well if you want to print out quality color images, inkjet is the cheapest option right now as solid ink and other printer technologies are still in development and will need some time for their price to drop. The actual printer can be bought at a very cheap price but the contant ink cartridge replacement makes it a bit expensive to use Injet Printers in the long run.
