google-chromeGoogle Chrome, the new browser from the house of Google is the talk of the town right now. Just within days of its launch, almost everyone is talking about, every blog, forums and every others. Of course, this has been the case on whatever Google launched in the recent past. They have been grabbing the headlines everywhere. Just like that, Google Chrome too has got its own viral publicity. Google really don’t have to do anything extraordinary, except for placing the link to download Chrome at their home page, to get it going. It has been done by everyone who is discussing about it now.

Ok, what is so special about Google Chrome to make it a talk of the town? To be frank, there is nothing special when you compare it with other browsers, except for the speed with which you browse the web pages, at least this is what Google claims and what Chrome can do to your browsing habit.

google-chrome-logoGoogle Chrome has come up with the address bar which acts as both the address bar to type the URL as well as a search box where you can just type the search words to get the result on the search engine you set as the default search engine at Google Chrome. Thus you don’t have to have a separate search box that you normally get along with many of the other browsers like FireFox, Internet Explorer etc. You can Download Google Chrome Browser here.

The other feature which you can just see with the new Chrome web browser is the thumbnail views of the sites you regularly visit. To visit those sites all you need to do is to click on the thumbnail. This was the same feature which Opera released in its latest release.

The other key highlight that can be found useful with Google Chrome is creating shortcuts for applications. For example if you visit Google calendar regularly you can create shortcut for the same and the shortcut will be created in your desktop and you can actually visit Google calendar with just one click. This is just an example, you can actually create any application which you use through Google Chrome.

google-chrome-screenshotIncognito, this is an all new feature, which you cannot see with any other browser. With this mode of browsing you can browse without leaving any traces of the website you visited and the cookies which got stored will automatically be deleted once you leave the site and close the incognito window.

There is an unique feature in Google Chrome wherein you can search among the site you recently visited (i.e., history) and get what you are looking for and forgot to store it when you visited that particular site. This is an extremely useful option which would come in handy without re-visiting the sites again for something that we found previously.

These unique Google-Chrome only features would definitely help in letting them breach into the already saturated and over-used web browser market. Since Google Chrome is just in beta phase so, we can expect a lot more to come when they actually launch the complete version in the near future. Since the launch of google and looking at its success, there has been a massive boom in Search Engines. Google was originally made by two people from their basement. Who would have thought that it would become such a massive force in such a short period of time. There is nothing much to google’s search codes but the fact of the matter is, google made it very easy for web surfers to find things they were looking for.

search_enginesSince then, many new search engine concepts has come and gone, but I don’t think anything else can beat google now. Not even Microsoft and Yahoo both combined. Well, here is a new experimental search engine called RankNoodle.com. The concept is good. Instead of searching for videos, images and contents on different sections, RankNoodle provides all the search data in one page. Images and videos are listed on a kind of a sidebar in distinguishable sections and content search result is show on the middle of the page. One thing I liked about this experimental search engine is the image search results. You can view medium sized preview of the image on mouse over. Saves some time. The load time is very good. Just above the content search result shows the search results for discussions that are going on in the web for the same keyword. Very handy. Almost like a swiss knife for search engines. Well lets see what happens to this concept. Only time will tell if this concept will get the thumbs up or thumbs down.
