Power supply and Hard drive looks good but you could get a bigger hard drive, maybe a 1TB hard drive. Thats just me though. This system should be enough for a regular gamer. Well this configuration has 1GB of more Ram than mine. The battery that comes with it ( 56 WHr 6-cell Lithium Ion Primary Battery ) is not that good if you plan to travel a lot with this laptop. You might want to get a 85WHr 9-Cell Lithium Ion Primary Battery. This Dell Vostro Laptop is well worth $499. I don’t regret it a bit and I have been using a Dell Vostro 1500 laptop for 6 months now. Just get a powerful battery and you are good to go. One bad point about this laptop is it is a bit on the heavy side. Other than that, if you consider the usability it is good value for the money.

Sony VAIO laptops usually cost a lot of money. Compared to the same specification laptops from other companies, a Sony VAIO laptop’s price is sky high. Well, I found a cheap Sony VAIO laptop. Bestbuy is selling the Sony VAIO T2310 Laptop for just $550. The specifications of the Sony VAIO T2310 Laptop looks pretty good except for the processor’s L2 cache. Sony VAIO T2310 Laptop just has a 1MB l2 cache which will effect the performance if you are operating multiple processor hungry programs at the same time (specially installing two or more softwares at the same time). Bestbuy hasn’t listed the battery specification, I don’t know the detail on that either.
