PlayStation 3 is a state of the art console game anyone can buy on the market. There are three different specification available for a PlayStation 3 and the specification for PlayStation 3 (PlayStation 3 40GB System) from the contest is:
- Internal 2.5″ SATA 40GB Hard Disk Drive
- Built-in Blu-ray/DVD/CD player
- Cell Broadband Engine advanced microprocessor
- SIXAXIS wireless controller
- Screen sizes supported : 480i, 480p, 720p, 1080i, 1080p
- HDMI out - (x1 / HDMI), Analog: AV MULTI OUT x 1, Digital audio: DIGITAL OUT (OPTICAL) x 1
- Memory : 256MB XDR Main RAM, 256MB GDDR3 VRAM
- Two USB 2.0 Ports
A PlayStation 3 with the above features costs $400 at Amazon.com . This is actually the lowest specification PlayStation 3 console available. There are other two PlayStation 3 consoles available (PlayStation 3 60GB System and PlayStation 3 80GB System). Sony has been a leader in console gaming but with the release of Xbox Console, it has declined a bit and PlayStation 3 is the answer to Xbox. PlayStation is a big expensive than an Xbox or Nintendo Wii but the hardware on it superior than both of them. Sony was on top with their first PlayStation and then again with PlayStation 2. They were the sole superpower in console gaming. PlayStation 3 is designed to last so don’t expect a newer version (PlayStation 4??) at least for the next five years.

I think this is a neat idea. This should be a device for all the people who can’t live without their electronic devices and travel a lot. This is great for the environment, even thought it reduces the impact in a very very small way. HYmini Micro Wind Powered Charger can be used in a day to day basis without using the electricity from the power grid. Charging the HYmini Handheld Micro Wind Power Generator’s battery is pretty simple, you just need some wind. HYmini is a hand held hybrid portable device charger which can be also charged by plugging it into your wall.
Why would you want to do that when you can charge your portable devices for free by using the HYmini charger. It is green and should be good gadget for environmentalist as well as others. You can use the HYmini charger to charge almost all 5volt portable device. Cell phone, MP3 player, iPod, PDA, digital camera or other 5V devices can be charged using the HYmini . There are various ways you could charge HYmini Micro Wind Charger, place it on your car window when you drive, place it on your bicycle, while jogging (strapping it on your arm) or well just place it outside your window if there is sufficient wind available.
The HYmini Handheld Micro Wind Power Generator generates power using:
- DV input jack 5V 1A max limitation through 110/220 wall plug
- Other sustainable sources like linkable HYmini Solar battery attachment with 0.7W Max capacity
- Laptop or Desktop USB 2.0 outlet
- Built-in supplemental wind generator with 1W Max capacity with zero loading
- 1200mA/h lithium ion polymer rechargeable battery
- Input current: Less than 1A or 1000mA and 5V max
- Maximum charging rate 40mph (65kmh)
There is no need for you to install additional software to use HYmini Micro Wind Power Generator for charging any portable devices. To know if your HYmini Charger is fully charge, just look at the color of the LED light and if it is green that means your HYmini charger is fully charged. This is quite an environmentally friendly solution for charging your cell phones, iPod, digital cameras, PDA and other 5Volt electronic devices. The HYmini Micro Wind Powered Charger costs $50. Not that expensive but not that cheap either. The Lithium ion battery will have to be replaced in time depending on the use as they have a limited lifespan.

Having an iPod is great but sometimes you want to share and listen to the music on your iPod with your friends and family. Well you can connect it to a usual speaker or any audio device that has a line-in socket and cable. Well, this is not a very portable option and iPod is made for portability. Speaker systems from Bose costs a fortune and it is better get speakers from other manufacturers. One thing that is good about the Bose speaker system is it’s great designs. Bose speaker systems for iPod is not that portable so you won’t be able to carry that around with you either.
Here is a great opportunity to get your own portable speaker system for your iPod. The price is really low and everyone should be able to afford it. You can buy the Kensington FX 300 Portable iPod Speaker System for $10 at Buy.com. The original price of the Kensington FX 300 Portable iPod Speaker System $30 but Buy.com has sliced the price down to $10. There is no shipping and handling cost so you don’t have to pay anything other than the $10 for this iPod Portable Speaker System.
Looking from the design point of view, the Kensington FX 300 Portable iPod Speaker System is not a great eye candy. It looks like a lunch box but the usability of this piece of iPod accessory is great. There is a compartment inside the box to hold your iPod so you don’t have to carry two pieces. Just place it in the iPod holder that is present inside the Kensington FX 300 Portable iPod Speaker System and plug-in the speaker cord and that’s it, you are ready to go. It also has an external volume control for easy access.

This is a gadget that can really come in handy. Unlike Tempo’s External Recycle Bin, there is a good use for Soldius 1 Solar Charger. I have had trouble at times charging my iPod Video when on the road. I don’t have a adapter that plugs in to a wall power outlet and I have to use my computer every time the iPod’s battery is low. Sometimes I even travel to remote locations where there are no electricity at all, this gadget will surely come in handy in those situations. This is a nice concept. This concept is a bit futuristic but it is readily available in the market. This laser keyboard is a damn cool looking gadget to use with your computer or cell phones. It is actually a virtual keyboard that is projected by a laser beam on to a desk of any flat surface. An image of a keyboard is projected onto a flat surface which is used as an actual keyboard. It might be a little hard to get used to at first but the device is just too cool. What more, this laser pointer will even simulated the actual keyboard sound when you press a key. The laser keyboard has 63 keys and a QWERTY layout.
The Laser keyboard connects to devices like PDA, smartphone and computers using bluetooth. You just need to enable bluetooth on those devices and you are ready to start typing using a laser projected virtual keyboard. Approximately 35 x 92 x 25mm (1.38″ x 3.6″ x 1″) in dimension, you can easily carry it around in your pocket. There won’t be any typing problems when sending an email from your smartphone or a PDA anymore, you just need to find a flat spot and start typing. The Bluetooth Laser Virtual Keyboard will work on almost every device. is compatible with and work on all PalmOS 5, PocketPC 2003, Windows Smartphone, Symbian OS mobile operating systems and supports Windows 2000 and Windows XP system. (Drivers are provided). It also works on a MacOS but a driver is not provided.
We were able to get the Bluetooth Virtual Laser Keyboard to work with Mac OSX using the built-in bluetooth support in the OS. However, there is no driver software for Mac included with the keyboard and therefore no way to set the keyboard preferences such as brightness, key-repeat rate and sensitivity. You have been warned!
The Bluetooth Laser Virtual Keyboard costs $150, a bit costly but the wow factor it generates is worth the price. The Bluetooth Laser Virtual Keyboard has an internal battery which will last up to 120 minutes of continuous typing. This is just a mouthwatering gadget. It is available for purchase at ThinkGeek.

The Tempo External Recycle bin is a cool device that could be added to any computer. Actually this is not literally a recycle bin. The design of this external storage device is made out to resemble a recycle bin. This is not just a cool looking useless gadget, you can put it to a lot of good use. When you delete a file from your internal hard drive, the external recycle bin will automatically keep a backup of the deleted files from your internal hard drive. This will help prevent the accidental deletion of files by the users as anything the user deletes is automatically backed up on the external recycle bin. If your computer has a bluetooth, Tempo External Recycle bin will work on it. There are absolutely no need for any wires as all the backup and file transfers are done using bluetooth.

Tempo External Recycle bin can also be uses as any other external hard drive to store or backup your data. There is another cool visible feature to this gadget, as the External recycle bin’s fills up with data, LED indicators will light up from bottom to up to indicate how much storage space is still available or how much space is used up. The size of the hard drive inside the external recycle bin is 250 GB and external recycle bin is compatible with both PC and Mac computers.
This is just s concept and it hasn’t been put into mass production and the date is still not set as when Tempo External Recycle Bin will be available for purchase in the market.

This is a great concept anyway you think about it. The MP3 Players we use today are a bit bulky compared to the Wallet MP3 player. Walletex has produced the world’s thinnest laptop and I can’t help but admire the design and usability of the World’s Thinnest MP3 Player. The size of the Walletex MP3 player resembles a credit card accept for the thickness. The thickness of the thinnest MP3 Player is about 2-3 credit cards stacked together. It is a USB Flash drive based MP3 player and it tough enough to handle the rigors of being placed inside a wallet. It is made of double laminated unbreakable plastic and will handle almost anything you can throw at it. To add to all this, the first and only world’s thinnest flash drive based credit card sized MP3 Player is waterproof.
The only downside I can see is the pricing of this Credit Card sized wallet MP3 player. Here are some of the specs for the world’s thinnest MP3 Player.
- 1GB of storage
- Flash Based (so it can handle rough use)
- Uses USB to connect to computer and headphones
- Waterproof, dust proof, temperature tolerant
- 3 in 1 double sided USB connector ( for charging, transferring music from a computer, listening to music)
- Supports all common OS - Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows ME, Linux 2.4 and above, and MAC OS 9.0 & higher ,Win 98/Win98SE (driver)
- Compatible with USB 1.1 and USB 2.0 ports
Right now the price of a 1GB Credit Card sized MP3 Player is $70 which from my opinion is a bit costly but the innovation deserves the pricing.
