toshiba-satellite-laptop-with-intel-pentium-dual-core-processor-t2390I haven’t published a deal post lately so I decided to post a deal about this Toshiba Satellite Laptop. Best Buy has a sale on a Toshiba Satellite Laptop with Intel Pentium Dual-Core Processor T2390 for $580. Not the best deal available but should be good enough for anyone looking for a medium range laptops for relatively cheap price. This Toshiba satellite laptop comes with an Intel Pentium Dual-Core T2390 1.86GHz processor with 533MHz frontside bus and 1MB L2 cache. Not the best possible processor available but should satisfy a basic user’s needs to at least three years to come before it needs to be replaced. Here are some of the specs for this Toshiba Satellite Laptop.

  • 3GB of DDR2 RAM which can be expanded to 4GB
  • DVD±RW/CD-RW drive with double-layer support
  • 15.4″ WXGA TFT-LCD widescreen display which has TruBrite technology and has a resolution of 1280 x 800.

There are some of the basic specs you might want to know about this Toshiba Satellite laptop. Toshiba laptops are not the best or the most popular brand of laptops but some of the Toshiba’s laptops does the job quite well when you look at the hardware specifications. This toshiba satellite laptop in not the best laptop when you consider the design of this laptop but when you look at the specifications, the price is very reasonable. When considering the design of a laptop, HP are one of my favorite laptops. Apple Laptops are not bad either, apple laptops are very unique in design, simple, clean and very eye catching but Apple’s laptops are very expensive when compared to other laptops by different companies like HP, Dell when you consider the hardwares inside it.

Superwarehouse.com has anything anyone might need when it comes to technology. Anything from laptops to digital camera’s are available at super ware house. From laptops or any other tech gadget’s parts to a brand new product, everything is available there. I looked at some laptop’s prices at super ware house and they are not bad at all. All the top brand laptops are available at this tech store.

Ok, some important information about this Toshiba Satellite Laptops deal. If you choose to get an in-store pickup, you will save $20 whereas if you choose home delivery, it will cost you $20.

apple-iphone-3giPhone 3G is the newest iPhone launched by Apple. There has been some significant upgrades from the previous iPhone. There are some great new additions and at the same time there are some very mediocrity found in an iPhone. Love it or hate it, iPhone is not what it should be. Still, it is not that bad. There are some stuffs that need changing but apart from that, iPhone is good. I just hope Apple fix all the problems found in an iPhone (both the previous iPhone and the newest iPhone 3G).

Here are some pros and cons found in an iPhone 3G mobile phone:

Pros:

  • 3G, Wi-Fi and GPS
  • Safari browser and email works great
  • iPod application is great
  • Application Store is the best
  • Seamless integration with iTunes
  • Lots of multimedia features
  • A working GPS
  • Large high quality LCD screen
  • Onscreen Qwerty Touch keyboard

Cons:

  • Still no navigation software
  • Very poor camera application
  • Poor battery life
  • Non instinctive menus and settings
  • 2 mega pixel camera without any flash
  • Fingerprint magnet
  • Needs 3rd party protective covers for screen and case

apple-iphone-3g-black-whiteWe have to pay a fortune to buy an iPhone 3G and it is unfair that Apple hasn’t included other important Smartphone functionality. Talking about battery life, iPhone 3G will support up to 5 hours of talk time on a 3G network and 10 hours on a 2G network. iPhone 3G has a standby time of up to 300 hours. While using the internet on a 3G network, the battery will last up to 5 hours and on a Wi-Fi, it will last up to 6 hours. iPhone 3G’s battery supports up to 7 hours of video playback and up to 24 hours of audio playback.

apple-iphone-3g-connectors-input-outputThe brand new iPhone 3G is available in two sizes as its predecessor. An 8GB and 16GB model is available and this time around, iPhone is available in two colors, black and white. White iPhone is only available in 16GB iPhone 3G model. iPhone 3G uses a Flash drive for storage instead of a Hard drive. iPhone 3G works on UMTS/HSDPA (850, 1900, 2100 MHz) and GSM/EDGE (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz) mobile networks. iPhone 3G can also connect to other devices using Wi-Fi (802.11b/g) and a new addition to iPhone, Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR.

Here are some of the technical specifications for iPhone 3G:

  • Screen resolution of 480 x 320 pixels
  • Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 3G connectivity
  • GSM 850, GSM 900, GSM 1800, GSM 1900, UMTS 850, UMTS 2100 networks
  • Supports AAC, AAC+, MP3 audio format, MPEG-4 video format and JPG, PNG, TIF picture format
  • SMS, MMS, E-mail, Instant Messaging, Push e-mail, IM messaging options
  • Touch screen with multi-touch function
  • 2MP camera
  • More detailed Tech Specs here

The price of a New Apple’s iPhone 3G is half the price of the old iPhone. iPhone 3G 8GB costs $200 and iPhone 3G 16GB model costs $300. Price is a lot reasonable than before and this should lead to a lot more sales.

Since the launch of google and looking at its success, there has been a massive boom in Search Engines. Google was originally made by two people from their basement. Who would have thought that it would become such a massive force in such a short period of time. There is nothing much to google’s search codes but the fact of the matter is, google made it very easy for web surfers to find things they were looking for.

search_enginesSince then, many new search engine concepts has come and gone, but I don’t think anything else can beat google now. Not even Microsoft and Yahoo both combined. Well, here is a new experimental search engine called RankNoodle.com. The concept is good. Instead of searching for videos, images and contents on different sections, RankNoodle provides all the search data in one page. Images and videos are listed on a kind of a sidebar in distinguishable sections and content search result is show on the middle of the page. One thing I liked about this experimental search engine is the image search results. You can view medium sized preview of the image on mouse over. Saves some time. The load time is very good. Just above the content search result shows the search results for discussions that are going on in the web for the same keyword. Very handy. Almost like a swiss knife for search engines. Well lets see what happens to this concept. Only time will tell if this concept will get the thumbs up or thumbs down.

broadband-expertAbout 5 years ago, broadband internet connection was just a dream for normal people as it was too expensive to get one. People used Dial-up connection to connect to the internet and it was too damn slow. Still, lots of people use dial-up connection to browse the web. Not a very practical way to surf the web now a days because websites has been upgraded to suite a broadband connection and included a lot of graphics to make it more attractive. These pages would take a long time to load on a dial-up connection.

Personally speaking, I still don’t have access to a broadband connection. I use a cable connection with the speed of upto 128kbps. Still a lot slower than a broadband connection but a hell of a lot faster than a dial-up. Broadband speed matters if you are downloading huge files or watching videos on the web. 128kbps is still not enough to accommodate all these things.

broadband-speed-testTo find out the speed off your broadband connection, there are lots of sites on the web and most of them show accurate broadband speed. This can’t be said to all of the internet speed test sites. You can use this broadband speed test site to test your internet speed. This web application provides very accurate data on your broadband speed. Other than a broadband speed test web application, they also provide list of all the best broadband internet providers found in the United Kingdom. From budget broadband to the fastest broadband available. The information found on broadband expert should help anyone who is getting a new broadband internet connection or trying to change to another service provider.

My cable internet connection is just 100kbps for download and 21kbps for upload. Mine is one of the slowest high speed internet connection you can get. The picture attached on this post is a screenshot of the speed test I did on Broadband Expert. I upgraded it from the last one i had which was just 64kbps. You should also check my archived post on internet speed test. There is another of one of the good internet speed test sites.
