Today, we are facing more and more power cuts because the demand for electricity has skyrocketed in the past decade or so. To meet the demand companies are burning more coal and other carbon emitting products which disintegrates our planet, climate. The city where I live in has around eight hours of power cuts per day six days a week which makes life so much more difficult as we depend more and more of electronics. Well, one good thing about it is, we don’t generate electricity with by burning coal, it is all hydroelectric power but the demand is so high that it is hard to meet. And the demand will only go up. Because of the power cuts, I had to buy a laptop. I could have bought UPS or a battery but the price almost came out to be the same because I had to buy inverter and batteries. Well Diesel generators could have done the job too as it is a lot cheaper but the price of diesel made be think twice.
I do a lot of my work on my computer and make a decent living from it. Without electricity, it is impossible. I had a 30 minute UPS but that was only useful for preventing loss of vital data if the power went out. There are other high end UPS that will be able to hold lot longer but it is expensive. You could actually custom design your own UPS, kinda. Just get and inverter and a huge truck battery. That should do the job pretty well. If you need even longer duration, you might want to look at this Uninterruptible power supplies store. They provide all kinds of UPS, from 1kVA to 800kVA. If you need more power, it can be arranged. Upto 2 megawatt UPS can be made using parallel systems. This can be very useful for big companies.
Powercontinuity.co.uk is a UK based company that can handle power needs for any kind of company. They will do all the installation work and even maintain it in tip condition. Besides, UPS they also provide generators if that is what is needed. This kind of power supply is a bit bad for the environment though as it uses fossil fuel to generate electricity. UPS is the best way to go or even better, solar or wind power if you can to generate electricity.

Yeap. We are on Earth! Not only the Capital of Nepal but all around the country, and the most amazing part is Nepal is well known for world’s second highest water resource country. It is expected that the power cut will be more than 60 hours per week if the same condition keeps on going in our country.
