I was just reading some blogs and I found an interesting post on Solo Technology regarding internet speed. I thought I would give it a try. I visited speedtest and started to test my internet speed. I have a cable internet subscription on world link and the one I have is an economical one. Still it is not that cheap. The maximum speed I can buy from any ISP is 256kbps and the cost of it is very high. Not all people can afford the price. Compared to the speed on a Comcast Cable mine looks negligible. I think I need to upgrade my internet subscription. The one I have now it just double or triple the speed of a usual dial-up connection. It is still a lot better than a dial-up connection, economical too.
This is a regular Cosmcast Cable internet speed in Denver Metropolitan area.

The download and upload speed test image below is my internet speed.

There is a huge difference. There needs to be some changes to mine, asap. Maybe I will get a 256kbps connection after my current subscription expired, in a couple of months.
If you want to test your internet connection’s speed, visit speedtest.

I must say that speed testing program confused me more then it cleared some things for me. One time I actually got faster DL speed then my DSL theoretical maximum.
Maybe it’s just mine results that are messed up, but I don’t trust that little thingie

hi, cool web site and good articles.
The The first step is to learn how to find out what your Internet speed is.The Internet speed is determined by 2 components: the download rate and the upload rate of data which are usually measured in Kilobits per second.
Then after you know the upload and download rate, you can use tools or tweaks to improve your internet speed, or take the decision to change your ISP.
