This system has enough ram to run vista (2 GB). I hate the DRM feature on vista. nowadays lots of laptops and desktop computer manufacturers are cranking out systems with only vista OS available in them. Hard to find an XP preinstalled system now. I won't be upgrading to vista until and unless i absolutely have to. I know, thats why I am still using XP and I also bought a Dell vostro 1500 with xp.
