Craigslist has been live since the beginning of the .com boom and is still one of the most popular sites on the internet. Most people who have been surfing the net regularly knows about craigslist, it is an online classified ad posting site and it is free for all users to post ads on it. The main reason people use CraigsList is because it is free to post classified ads on it and it is very easy to do so. You don’t even have to sign up to post an add but if you are serious about it, opening an account on craigslist is free too. There are lots of other classified ad posting sites on the net but since advertising on craigslist is so easy, people prefer to use craigslist than any other similar sites.

Craigslist is one of the successful companies still in existence online, like google. Google has grown in massive proportion since the its conception but craigslist is small if you consider the manpower used to manage the site. Craigslist has only 24 employees but still it is the most successful online classified sites ever. People can use craigslist to do anything, look for a job, an employee, buy and sell products and and recently people started using it for craigslist dating. Craigslist has been online since the year 1995 and is still going strong as ever. Craigslist has expanded its community to serve 450 cities in 50 countries and more cities and countries are still being added regularly. Craigslist was first conceived in 1995 and was the brainchild of Craig Newmark. Craigslist was initially made to serve just the San Fransisco Bay area but in 1999 craigslist expanded its network outside of San Fransisco. The main headquarter of craigslist is still located in the city of San Fransisco and the office is just a small house and only 24 people are employed by craigslist. Digsby is a free program which combines IM, Email, and Social Networking into one. I’ve been using it for a few weeks now, and it’s really good. I’m running 3 IM accounts, facebook, myspace, and 2 gmail accounts on it and everything works. I’m honestly impressed so far.
