AMD is one of the top processor manufacturers. They have been one of the popular brand on the market for processors. The price is relatively cheap if you consider the performance factor. I like the Intel processor as I have a huge experience with them. I have only used and AMD processor once. That laptop had a AMD Turion x64 processor on it and it performed ok. AMD Phenom 9600 Agena Quad-Core processor has a clock frequency of 2.3GHz whereas AMD Phenom 9500 has 2.2GHz. Both these processors are compatible with most AM2+ motherboards.
